Yes, it's that time of year again.

There are only a couple of things that can motivate me to emerge from my cozy den of blog hibernation.

A leaked iPhone. A simultaneous May 4th release of the latest Hold Steady and New Pornographers albums. A mildly-amusing video posted on Videogum.

I have high standards.

Which is why I continually shill for the excellence that is Friday Night Lights.

NBC has done a lot wrong in the last few years, but supporting this show is enough to keep them in my good graces. Season 4 starts May 7th and it's the perfect excuse for you to go on an all-you-can-eat FNL blitz and get caught up with seasons 1-3.*

I'm so incredibly plugged in that** I've already seen Season 4.*** It's absolutely awesome. Great writing, excellent acting and a far better soundtrack than the promo below would suggest.

I know it's a teen drama, but come on, we're all a teen drama.

May 7th, people. Get your shit together by then, okay?






*season 2 is the only one that doesn't quite live up to the magic. But fear not, they've found themselves again.
